This construction is designed to maintain the integrity of the passenger cabin during a severe side-impact collision, helping to protect the space for those in the front seats.

For Child Occupant Protection, the Tiggo 7 CSH received a rating of 85%. The vehicle’s design for younger passengers includes i-Size compatible child seat anchors. During dynamic testing, the vehicle demonstrated high levels of protection for child dummies representing six and 10-year-olds.

The vehicle’s capability to protect pedestrians and cyclists, classified as Vulnerable Road Users, was scored at 80%. This assessment considered the vehicle’s front-end design and its Automatic Emergency Braking system, which is engineered to detect potential collisions with pedestrians and initiate braking to mitigate or avoid an impact.

Furthermore, the Tiggo 7 CSH incorporates a suite of driver assistance technologies, which contributed to its 78% score in the Safety Assist category. These systems include lane-keeping support and speed assistance for motorway driving. An interior camera monitors the driver for signs of fatigue or distraction and provides alerts when necessary.

Refiloe Mokoena, Product Manager for Chery South Africasays: "South African buyers are increasingly looking for vehicles that offer the right mix of affordability, technology and safety. The Tiggo 7 CSH’s Euro NCAP rating speaks directly to those priorities. It also brings strong hybrid performance and efficiency to the segment, delivering 265 kW, up to 90 km of electric-only driving and notably low fuel consumption from 4,9 l/100 km. For many families, that combination adds real value to everyday use."
