Stellantis has launched the Citroën Hola, a panel van developed specifically for the local market’s growing demand for compact cargo vehicles below a half-ton. The Hola is positioned as a practical option for small business owners and urban delivery operators navigating the challenges of city logistics.
According to Mmathapelo Khumalo, head of Citroën South Africa, e-commerce activity in the country has risen sharply. “South Africans made around 35-million more online purchases in 2024 than in 2019; and parcel volume is still compounding at double-digit rates. Courier operators and SME fulfilment partners urgently need compact, fuel-efficient vehicles that are built to tackle urban traffic and narrow parking spaces,” she says.

The Hola is powered by a 1,2-litre three-cylinder PureTech petrol engine, producing 60 kW and 115 Nm of torque. Fuel consumption is listed at 5,6 l/100 km combined, with carbon emissions of 133 g CO?/km. A five-speed manual transmission is fitted, and the engine meets Euro 5 emissions standards.
For load security, the Hola offers a fully enclosed payload bay with a 386 kg carrying capacity. An integrated bulkhead and tie-down points are included as standard. At just under four metres in length and with a turning circle of 10 metres, the van is designed for manoeuvrability in tight spaces. The raised driving position is intended to improve visibility in congested traffic.

Inside, a 10-inch touchscreen comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Navigation apps such as Google Maps and Waze are supported. Other features include power steering, air-conditioning, a seven-inch digital instrument cluster and a multifunction steering wheel. Safety equipment includes dual front, side and curtain crash bags, anti-lock braking with electronic brake distribution and rear parking sensors.

Pricing for the Hola starts at R242 500 including VAT, with immediate availability. The vehicle is backed by a five-year or 100 000 km warranty, with service intervals set at 15 000 km. A two-year or 30 000 km service plan is available as an option through the Stellantis national dealer network.
