Johannesburg – Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) is gearing up for another action-packed appearance at the 9th South African Festival of Motoring, taking place from 28 to 30 August 2026 at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit. Through its motorsport division, GAZOO Racing South Africa, Toyota will deliver an exhilarating showcase of performance, motorsport heritage and fan engagement, bringing the excitement of Toyota's racing DNA to thousands of motoring enthusiasts.

Headlining the display will be the GR Corolla, Toyota's flagship high-performance hatchback developed through insights gained from international motorsport competition. Powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine producing 210kW of power and 400Nm of torque, the GR Corolla combines remarkable performance with everyday usability. Paired with Toyota's advanced GR-FOUR all-wheel-drive system, the vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 230 km/h, delivering a truly exhilarating driving experience.

Visitors to the Gazoo Racing stand will also have the opportunity to get up close to the GR Corolla race cars competing in the GR Cup South Africa, offering a glimpse into the competitive world of local circuit racing and Toyota's commitment to developing motorsport talent.

The excitement will extend beyond the exhibition area as the GR Corolla race cars take to the Kyalami circuit throughout the weekend. Driven by professional instructors from the GAZOO Racing Driving Academy, the vehicles will demonstrate the performance, agility and engineering capabilities that have made the GR brand synonymous with excitement on-and-off the track. The thrilling rides will feature special appearances from GAZOO Racing drivers who participate in the South African Touring Cars (SATC) series such as Jason Coetzee and Michael van Rooyen.

Festivalgoers can further immerse themselves in the GAZOO Racing experience through interactive racing simulators, exclusive GR merchandise and opportunities to engage with the passionate community that surrounds the brand.
