Although the show itself will be only a one-day affair in February, the George Old Car Show at the Eden Technical High School will be complemented by two tours: the long-standing ‘Vettoer’, celebrating its 19th edition, and the debut of the GOCS eSCape Tour and Rally, both offering a dazzling array of veteran, vintage, and classic cars against the backdrop of the Garden Route.

The Vettoer, a highlight for veteran vehicle enthusiasts, will kick off ahead of the main event. Sponsored by JP Spares, this one-day tour will conclude on Friday, February 7 at the showgrounds. With an illustrious history spanning nearly two decades, the Vettoer is set to showcase rare automotive treasures, including a 1902 Peugeot, vintage Rolls-Royce models, classic Model-T Fords, and vintage motorcycles.

For those looking to extend their time in the picturesque Garden Route, the inaugural GOCS eSCape Tour and Rally offers a four-day journey starting on Sunday, February 9. Open to all show-registered vehicles, the rally will feature a competitive element for cars built before 1975, run under the regulations of SAVVA (South African Vintage and Veteran Association) and Motorsport South Africa.

Drivers will tackle timed sections while maintaining average speeds between 65 km/h and 95 km/h, depending on their vehicle’s age category. Non-competitive participants can simply enjoy the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts and the breathtaking scenery.
