Formula Africa has appointed British-Zimbabwean executive Mucha Nyandoro as its new chief executive officer, a move that brings more than two decades of international leadership experience to the pan-African motorsport and education platform.Nyandoro, who has held senior positions at JP Morgan Chase and HSBC, along with various advisory and executive board roles across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, takes over the reins as the organisation prepares to expand its footprint across 25 African countries.
Her base in the United Arab Emirates is expected to serve as a strategic link for international investment and global partnerships, while her personal commitment remains anchored in accelerating opportunities across the continent she calls home.
In her new capacity, Nyandoro will oversee the platform's next growth phase, driving thought leadership at strategic events, forging partnerships and overseeing the phased rollout of Formula Africa's Champion Discovery Centres in key cities.

She will also step into the role of global media representative, engaging with governments, investors and strategic partners on climate innovation, education, talent development and sustainable livelihoods.
The appointment comes three weeks after Formula Africa announced that former Formula One race engineer Xevi Pujolar had joined as senior strategic motorsport advisor. Together, the two appointments combine substantial business leadership with decades of paddock experience, strengthening the organisation's commercial and technical capabilities.
Nyandoro's immediate priorities include building commercial partnerships across the continent, strengthening relationships with African governments and institutions, and supporting the development of the executive leadership team. She will work alongside executive chair and founder Julia Green, who remains focused on long-term vision, international partnerships and strategic development.
