Despite two freak incidents, ALL THINGS MOTORING’s Mike O’Sullivan truimphed at Zwartkops Raceway at the weekend walking away with top honours in his class at the Histric Inland Championship Series.
Mike explains: “After a blistering qualy the ALL THINGS MOTORING Honda was firmly planted on pole. On the warm up lap the steering column worked loose meaning I had try and hold it in place while still negotiating the corners and the traffic.
“However, I managed to – literally – hang on to win the heat. The second heat provided more entertainment in the cockpit when the fire extinguisher dislogded and made friends with the brake pedal. I managed to hook the errant article only to have it blow off in my hand but at least I still won the heat.”
