KNYSNA, South Africa, 10 March 2026 – Suzuki Auto South Africa has been an enthusiastic and energetic sponsor of the Simola Hillclimb since 2021. As a valued Tier 1 Manufacturer sponsor, Suzuki Auto SA has signed a new three-year sponsorship deal spanning 2026 to 2028, further reinforcing the Simola Hillclimb’s status as the country’s premier motoring and motorsport lifestyle event.

“The Simola Hillclimb holds a unique charm that resonates with Suzuki Auto South Africa. Its iconic location, passionate community, and thrilling atmosphere align with our brand commitment to turn everything into a fun adventure,” says Brendon Carpenter, Brand Marketing Manager, Suzuki Auto South Africa.

“Over the past five years, our partnership has not only showcased Suzuki's vehicles in an adrenaline-fueled setting but has also allowed us to connect with a dynamic audience who share our values of adventure and performance. We eagerly anticipate our sixth year, and we are eager to continue this exciting journey with the Simola Hillclimb,” Carpenter says.

This three-year sponsorship agreement not only helps secure the Simola Hillclimb’s future, but also further elevates its standing as the must-attend event on South Africa’s motoring and motorsport calendar.

“We are absolutely delighted to have Suzuki Auto South Africa committing to a new three-year sponsorship of the Simola Hillclimb,” says Ian Shrosbree, MD of the Knysna Speed Festival which owns and runs the Simola Hillclimb.

“Over the past five years, Suzuki has brought its unique blend of energy and excitement to our event with its high-profile branding, consistently supporting the Simola Hillclimb by hosting a large contingent of media to cover and participate in the event, and showcasing its cars and motorcycles. We look forward to building on this relationship in 2026 and beyond,” Shrosbree says.

For the 16th edition of the Simola Hillclimb, Suzuki Auto is expanding its presence in the King of the Hill challenge. This year Suzuki will be entering four cars, enabling selected media representatives to experience the thrill and excitement of the world’s fastest hillclimb as they compete for glory.  The cars and drivers will also feature in the popular pre-event King of the Hill Parade at the Knysna Waterfront on Friday 1 May, 2026.

The 16th edition of the Simola Hillclimb takes place from 30 April to 3 May 2026.
