The iCAUR V27 has won the Best Interior Design Award in the Premium Car category at the 2026 Torino Automotive Design Award (TADA), hosted by Salone Auto Torino and which focuses on innovation in vehicle design. Entries are assessed on design execution, creativity and real-world functionality.

The V27’s cabin uses iCAUR’s ‘Interstellar Cockpit’ design language. The exterior retains the bold, boxy proportions associated with off-roaders, while the interior is uncluttered and prioritises visibility, space and everyday usability.

An elevated driving position and large window area give the driver a clear view of the road. Soft-touch materials and a straightforward control layout are intended to provide comfort on short commutes and longer journeys.

“The V27 shows how iCAUR approaches design as something deeper than appearance,” said Shannon Gahagan, Head of Brand and Marketing at iCAUR and Omoda & Jaecoo South Africa. “It makes a strong visual statement on the outside, but the interior has to work for people every day. Practical details, visibility, space and comfort matter, especially in South Africa, where drivers rely on their vehicles to handle a range of conditions.”

Interior features include the ‘Interstellar Porthole’ dual panoramic sunroof, which allows light into the cabin while laminated glass blocks 99,9% of UV rays. A 15,4-inch 2.5K touchscreen, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor, handles navigation, media and climate controls.

The cabin has 49 storage compartments and rear seats that fold flat to increase cargo capacity. Soft-touch materials are used on key contact points. The TADA award follows the V23 receiving a 2026 Red Dot Design Concept Award for its boxy profile.
