The fourth generation of the Dzire was launched in May of this year, offering seven exterior colours, a cabin inspired by the Swift, seating for five adults and a 378-litre boot.
Standard features on all models include digital air-conditioning, USB ports front and rear, rear ventilation, parking sensors, hill hold control and power windows. The GL+ variant adds cruise control, a multifunction steering wheel, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a reverse camera for easy parking in congested city centres.
Power comes from Suzuki’s 1.,-litre three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine producing 60 kW at 5 700 r/min and 112 Nm or torque at 4 300 r/min. It can be paired with either a five-speed manual gearbox or continuously variable transmission (CVT) and delivers a claimed fuel consumption as low as 4,4 l/100 km. Safety is comprehensive across all derivatives, with six crash bags, ESP, anti-lock braking with EBD, brake assist, rear ISOFIX anchors and side-impact door beams. These features contributed to the Dzire achieving a five-star Global NCAP crash-test rating in India earlier this year.
