Under the bonnet, the MU-X offers two turbo-charged diesel options. The 3,0-litre engine, available in LS, LSE, and Onyx XT trims, delivers 140 kW and 450 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. For efficiency-focused drivers, the 1,9-litre variant (exclusive to the LS 4x2) produces 110 kW and 350 Nm, achieving a fuel economy of 7,0 l/100 km. Both engines promise smooth performance on tarmac and trails, with 4x4 variants featuring a diff-lock and low-range transfer case.
The 2025 MU-X sports a sharper look, starting with a redesigned front bumper, a bolder grille and sleeker LED headlamps with bi-beam tech. At the rear, new combination taillights and a tailgate garnish amplify its athletic stance. The Onyx XT stands out with gloss-black accents, 20-inch smoked alloy wheels, and exclusive paint options such as Eiger Grey Metallic. Meanwhile, LS and LSE models ride on 18-inch alloys, with two fresh colours — Biarritz Blue and Eiger Grey — joining the palette.

Inside, the cabin boasts a revamped dashboard, updated leather upholstery and a 9-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Onyx XT and LSE variants gain a 360-degree Surround View Monitor, complete with an underfloor camera for tricky off-road manoeuvres. A new 7-inch driver display blends analogue dials with crisp digital readouts, while red ambient lighting and contrast stitching in the Onyx XT add a sporty flair.
Practical upgrades include a customisable welcome lighting system, revised suspension for smoother rides, and a hands-free power tailgate. Safety is bolstered by dynamic parking guidelines and improved low-light camera visibility.
