Land Rover has expanded its Discovery family with the introduction of a new Landmark edition, creating a three-model range that includes the existing Tempest and S specifications. The British SUV manufacturer has also announced pricing for the refreshed line-up, with the entry-level Discovery S starting at R1 824 700.
The Landmark edition, new for 2026, sits between the S and Tempest in the range, priced from R2 136 800. The range-topping Tempest carries a price tag of R2 363 000. All three models benefit from a host of updates, including fresh paint options and enhanced interior materials.
The Landmark edition introduces Tasman Blue paint to the Discovery range for the first time, a metallic finish that pays homage to the original Clearwater Blue heritage colour from the first-generation Discovery launched in 1989.

The model also features distinctive exterior detailing, including Graphite Atlas accents on the grille, side fender vents and Discovery badging at both ends. Front and rear skidplates receive a Carpathian Grey finish, while new 21-inch alloy wheels in Dark Agate Grey complete the exterior package.
Inside, the Landmark gets dark grey brushed aluminium trim with Landmark branding, Tech Velour door casings and dashboard finishes, a sliding panoramic sunroof and a centre console refrigerator. Unique Landmark branding appears on the front tread plates, circular B-pillar insert and puddle lamp projectors.
The Tempest, which joined the line-up in 2025, continues as the flagship model with an even higher specification. It is now available in Borasco Grey, joining Varesine Blue and Carpathian Grey in the colour palette, with all exterior finishes coming with a matte protective film as standard.
Petra Copper accents distinguish the Tempest, appearing on the roof, side fenders, exterior Discovery scripts, tow-eye covers and 22-inch wheels. Two new interior colour options have been introduced: Light Oyster and Caraway seats, complemented by Ebony or Light Oyster Extended Windsor leather detailing.
The Discovery S remains the entry point to the range, featuring Ebony or Light Oyster Duoleather seats, wireless phone-charging, up to nine USB points and generous stowage throughout the cabin.

Land Rover has also maintained its focus on family-friendly accessories, offering five curated packs. The For Dogs pack includes a foldable carrier, portable rinse system and spill-resistant water bowl.
Biking Adventures features deep-sided rubber mats, mud flaps, side steps, roof-mounted cycle carriers and a tow bar-mounted carrier for two bikes. Beach Days adds a roof rack for water sports equipment, rubber mats, bespoke sunshades and a collapsible organiser.
The Road Trip pack offers seat organisers, a centre armrest cooler, electric cool bag, cross bars and a roof box. Snow Days includes cross bars, a rubber loadspace mat, mudflaps and a snow traction system.
Under the bonnet, Discovery buyers have a choice of six-cylinder Ingenium engines, including the D249 and D350 diesels and the P360 petrol unit. The vehicle's capability remains a key selling point, with All Terrain Progress Control, Terrain Response 2, a 900 mm wading depth and a 3 500 kg towing capacity. Advanced Tow Assist eases the burden of reversing with a trailer.
For 2026, Discovery gains a new Driver Attention Monitor that uses a camera to track the driver's gaze and provide audio-visual alerts if it detects a lack of attention to the road ahead.
Joelle Taylor, Head of Discovery Product and Services, said the refreshed line-up built on a rich heritage while catering to the needs of modern families. "Discovery is designed for any occasion and any journey, whether it's a family road trip or the daily school run, delivering confidence, comfort and capability on every drive."
