This product offensive forms part of a broader strategy to strengthen the brand's position in a competitive market. Leading this next phase is the newly appointed Managing Director, Takalani Bruce Mukhola.
Mukhola is a motor industry executive with over twenty years of experience across finance, dealership operations and senior management. He joins from Motus Holdings, where he served as a Franchise Executive leading the commercial division for several global truck and bakkie brands. His background also includes a tenure as Chief Financial Officer of Tshwane Rapid Transit and senior leadership roles within the Sandown Motor Holdings and Imperial Logistics groups.
“My focus will be on ensuring that every product we bring to market, every dealership interaction and every customer experience, consistently reflects what the Mitsubishi Motors brand stands for,” he says.

He outlined key objectives for his leadership, which include growing market share, elevating customer experience across sales and service, and modernising retail operations. The planned launches of the Destinator and the new Triton are central to this effort, aiming to leverage Mitsubishi’s reputation for durable and capable vehicles.
“Mitsubishi Motors is a brand with genuine substance and a proud heritage,” Mukhola explained. “What excites me is leading a brand with such strong foundations into its next phase of growth.”
Mukhola, who holds an MBA from the University of Pretoria’s GIBS and is a member of SAICA, emphasised a disciplined and customer-focused approach. “My aim is to make Mitsubishi Motors the hero, powered by the right products, supported by strong dealers, and enabled by a disciplined organisation.”
