It was a great day out at Zwartkops Raceway at the weekend in the Historic Inland Championship for Mike O’Sullivan and the ALL THINGS MOTORING Honda Ballade, despite starting the qualifying session with a brake issue.

“The the left front brake exploded the disc, and I did Quali with only one brake on the right side on the front, which was quite a challenge,” explained O’Sullivan. “It put me second in class in the historic touring cars.”

Despite the chilly start to raceday, O’Sullivan pressed hard in the first heat and soo swept into the class lead to win the race by a fair margin. Even better was to come for the second race of the day and he won that by an even bigger margin to claim top step on the podium at the prize-giving.

“The car is going incredibly well, and we did it in fine style, so I am really, really proud of the guys who put in the hours to ensure it goes that well.”
