Pretoria, South Africa, 29 April 2026: Jaguar TCS Racing heads to Berlin on a wave of momentum, returning to the Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit for Rounds 7 and 8 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship on 2-3 May.
The team arrives in the German capital fresh from a landmark weekend in Madrid, where António Félix da Costa and Mitch Evans delivered a commanding 1-2 finish - the third in Jaguar’s decade-long Formula E history. With three wins in the last four races and a double?podium last time out, Jaguar TCS Racing is now sitting second in both the Teams’ and Manufacturers’ standings.
Both drivers carry strong personal form into Berlin. António’s victory in Madrid - his second for Jaguar and the 14th of his Formula E career - has propelled him to fourth in the Drivers’ standings, just 19 points from the top. Mitch’s charge from 16th to second showcased the resilience and racecraft that have earned him 65 points in the last four rounds, placing him third overall.
Berlin has historically been a happy hunting ground for Jaguar TCS Racing, with four wins in the last six races at Tempelhof, including a 1?2 finish in Season 9 and a double?win weekend in Season 11. António also holds a tied record of three personal victories at the venue, adding further confidence ahead of the double?header.
With the team demonstrating consistency, pace and strategic strength, Berlin presents another opportunity to build on a remarkable start to the season. In Jaguar TCS Racing’s tenth year in Formula E - and as the most successful team in championship history to date - the focus now is on maintaining momentum and pushing for another defining weekend in the German capital.
Ian James, Jaguar TCS Racing Team Principal, said: “Everyone has dug incredibly deep over the past few rounds, and seeing that hard work translate into results has been hugely rewarding. But we’re not getting carried away. The championship fight is properly underway now, and Berlin is another opportunity to show what we’re capable of. The atmosphere inside the team is fantastic - focused, motivated, and hungry to keep this momentum rolling.”
Mitch Evans, Jaguar TCS Racing driver, said: “The team’s in a really good place at the moment. We’ve been putting together solid results, and that consistency is keeping us right in the mix for the championship. Sitting third gives me confidence, but it also pushes me to keep raising the bar. Berlin is always a tricky one with how unpredictable the racing can be, but I’m feeling ready for it. The goal is to keep the momentum going and bring home another strong points haul.”
António Félix da Costa, Jaguar TCS Racing driver, said: “It’s been a special run of races for me, and I’m really proud of what we’ve achieved together as a team. Back?to?back wins don’t happen without everyone pulling in the same direction, and that’s exactly the environment we have right now. Berlin is a place I’ve always enjoyed racing, and coming in with this momentum just adds to the excitement. We’re fully focused on the championship, and I’m ready to fight for another strong result.”
On Monday 27th April, Jaguar TCS Racing confirmed that Mitch Evans will leave the team at the end of the 2025/2026 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. This decision has been reached through mutual agreement between Mitch and the team. In his ten years with Jaguar, Mitch has taken an incredible 15 victories, making him the outright record-holder of the most wins in the championship’s history to date, alongside a further 21 podiums, 10 pole positions, nine fastest laps and a total of 1,064 points achieved in 132 race starts. Both Mitch and the team are committed to making the final 11 races together a success to build on their positive 10?year partnership.
