Pretoria, South Africa, 12 May 2026: Jaguar TCS Racing heads to the Principality this weekend for the Monaco E-Prix, widely recognised as the jewel in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship’s calendar.
Rounds 9 and 10 of Season 12 mark the halfway point of the current campaign, and Jaguar TCS Racing will be looking to maintain its recent strong form. The British team has won half of the races in the 2025/26 season, with four victories in the last six rounds propelling Jaguar TCS Racing into second place in the Teams’ World Championship, with Jaguar also second in the Manufacturers’ standings.
Last time out in Berlin, Mitch Evans extended his record for the most wins in the championship’s history to date with his 16th visit to the top step of the podium in Formula E. The Kiwi is now second in the Drivers’ World Championship with 98 points, just three points behind Pascal Wehrlein.
Mitch’s Jaguar TCS Racing team-mate, António Félix da Costa, showed great pace in Germany but was unable to take home a strong haul of points despite his speed, so he will be looking to bounce back in Monaco. The Portuguese driver is currently eighth in the Drivers’ standings.
This weekend will mark the first Monaco E-Prix with Jaguar TCS Racing for both António and Team Principal Ian James, the team having previously enjoyed a strong record around the streets of the Principality.
Mitch has taken five of the team’s six podium finishes in Monaco including a famous victory in 2024 – which also marked the first-ever team 1-2 finish in the Principality in Formula E history, while António has also tasted success by winning the 2021 Monaco E-Prix.
Mitch Evans, Jaguar TCS Racing driver #9, said: “I always look forward to racing in Monaco, and off the back of our recent strong form and my win in Berlin, it is great to come into this weekend with some positive momentum. It is effectively my home race and, having won in Monaco previously and been on the podium on multiple occasions, I can’t wait to race around such an iconic track once again.”
António Félix da Costa, Jaguar TCS Racing driver #13, said: “I am excited for my first Monaco E-Prix with Jaguar TCS Racing and hope it is going to be a special weekend. I’ve shown great speed across the season and although my side of the garage did not get the results to match that in Berlin, I’m hugely motivated to deliver a strong result in the Principality this weekend.”
Ian James, Jaguar TCS Racing Team Principal, said: “The team has been on a remarkable run of form recently and that is testament to the hard work of everyone at Jaguar TCS Racing. Consistency is critical in Formula E, however, and we will be pushing hard to achieve a strong haul of points from both races in the Principality.
“Both Mitch and António have shown not only formidable speed this season, but also know what it takes to be successful in Monaco, and we hope that combination gives us a great platform to build on for this weekend’s Monaco E-Prix.”
Both races of the Monaco E-Prix, Rounds 9 and 10 of the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, take place on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May, respectively, at 15:05 CET (GMT +1).
