Land Rover Classic has rolled out a matching set of remastered Defender V8s for a single client, with four iconic bodystyles finished in a colour-shifting Spectral Green paint that moves between green, purple and gold depending on the light and viewing angle.

The collection includes a 90 Station Wagon, a 90 Soft Top, a 110 Station Wagon, and the newly introduced 110 Double Cab Pick-Up, each one spending close to 400 hours in the company’s in-house paint facility from surface prep to the final polish.

Dominic Elms, Director of Land Rover Classic, says: “This spectacular Works Bespoke commission demonstrates the breadth of Land Rover Classic’s customisation capabilities – the result of a collaborative creative process that engages our clients with our in-house design, engineering and craftspeople to bring their vision to life. An authentic Classic Defender V8 (or four, in this case), hand-built and remastered by the original manufacturer.”

The Spectral Green treatment extends beyond the bodywork to the diamond-turned 18-inch Sawtooth alloy wheels, exterior badging, and the central interior fascia panels.

Each vehicle also gets a contrasting Icy White roof, an expedition cage, Defender bonnet script, and hand-painted white coachlines that break up the deep metallic finish. Inside, the cabin is trimmed in semi-aniline Bridge of Weir Vanilla leather with contrast green stitching that picks up the exterior hue, while Superwool carpets are bound in leather and the floor mats carry a debossed Defender wordmark.

Under the bonnet, each Classic Defender V8 has been remastered from an original 2012-2016 example, with the powertrain uprated to deliver 298 kW. That output is backed by a comprehensive suite of specially developed performance parts, making for a driving experience that feels properly urgent without losing the character that has made the Defender a lasting favourite.

Land Rover Classic has also expanded its options for new V8 commissions. The 110 Double Cab Pick-Up body style now joins the lineup, offering four doors and five seats in a pickup format that blends workhorse practicality with the brand’s most enduring design language. The two-seat 90 Hard Top has also been added as an option, sitting alongside the existing 90 Station Wagon, 90 Soft Top and 110 Station Wagon bodystyles.

Inside the cabin, a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system has been developed specifically for these restorations, bringing wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB digital radio, Bluetooth and a 13-band graphic equaliser to the classic dashboard. A reversing camera with a lens washer can also be specified, tucked discreetly into the rear bumper or optional step.

For clients looking to personalise further, the paint palette for roofs and 16-inch heavy-duty Wolf wheels now includes Fuji White and Corris Grey, while a Trophy Pack adds Narvik Black Gloss accents on the bonnet, roof, rear door assembly, and wheel arches to create more contrast against the body colour. The commission highlights the near-limitless scope of Land Rover Classic’s Works Bespoke service, where clients can even specify a colour taken from a personal item, a landscape, or another vehicle in their own collection.
