Johannesburg – Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) is proud to have been recognised at the 30th annual Southern African Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (SAVRALA) Manufacturer of the Year (MOTY) Awards. This year, TSAM was named Manufacturer of the Year for the 13th time, a reflection of the company’s ongoing efforts to support the rental and leasing sectors with reliable products and dedicated service.
In addition to the overall award, Toyota received recognition in several key categories:
- Rental Category Gold Winner for the third consecutive year.
- Leasing Category Gold Winner for the second year in a row.
- Rental Value Award for the 8th consecutive year.
- Leasing Value Award for the 6th time in eight years.
- Best Technical Representative – Lufuno Nephawe, Manager at Toyota was honoured in both rental and leasing categories, marking his third consecutive win in the rental section.

The MOTY Awards, independently audited by Lightstone Auto, evaluate manufacturers on 39 criteria including communication, support, maintenance, financial aspects and Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) compliance. Toyota’s consistent top-tier performance underscores its strategic focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
