Mercedes-Benz has introduced the Vito Select to its passenger car network in South Africa, marking the brand’s second van model tailored for private buyers. Designed to accommodate sports enthusiasts, families, and social adventurers alike, the Vito Select blends spacious interiors, adaptable configurations, and the refined safety and style synonymous with the Mercedes-Benz name.

Priced at R1 264 200 (including VAT), the Mixto Select seats up to five passengers while reserving 4,1 cubic metres of cargo space – ideal for stowing bikes, camping gear, or luggage. For larger groups, the Tourer Select (R1 360 000 including VAT) accommodates eight passengers, with flexible seating that transforms the rear into a lounge-like area. The back row can also be removed, freeing up extra storage without compromising passenger capacity.
The Vito Select’s cabin combines functionality with flair, featuring a redesigned dashboard equipped with a 10,25-inch MBUX touchscreen, wireless smartphone charging, and faux black leather upholstery. Practical touches like electric sliding doors and a hands-free tailgate simplify loading, while a heated multifunction steering wheel and memory-enabled electric seats add a touch of sophistication.

Under the bonnet, a 140 kW MU6 engine pairs with a 9-speed automatic transmission, balancing power and efficiency. Advanced driver aids—including Active Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and an automated parking system—enhance safety, while the Mercedes-Benz Emergency Call System ensures rapid response in emergencies.
Buyers can personalise their Select with eight colour options, including new shades Vintage Blue and Alpine Grey, plus three wheel designs. The Tourer variant offers 20-spoke alloy wheels at no extra cost, while both models feature chrome-accented grilles and colour-coded bumpers.
