Aston Martin has launched the DBX S, a dynamic new flagship SUV blending cutting-edge technology from its upcoming Valhalla supercar with refined design updates. Positioned as a lighter, more powerful evolution of the DBX line, the model reinforces the brand’s commitment to performance-focused luxury.

Under the bonnet, the DBX S features an upgraded 4,0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, now producing 535 kW — a 15 kW boost — thanks to Valhalla-derived turbo-chargers with larger compressor wheels. This elevates acceleration, slashing its 0-100 km/h sprint to 3., seconds and trimming 0,3 seconds off its 0-200 km/h time. Top speed remains an eye-watering 310 km/h. A reworked exhaust system amplifies the engine’s roar, while a nine-speed wet-clutch gearbox allows sharper shifts and torque distribution ranging from 50% front to 100% rear.

Weight reduction plays a key role in the DBX S’s agility. An optional carbon fibre roof — the largest ever fitted to an Aston Martin — saves 18 kg and lowers the centre of gravity. Magnesium wheels, a first in the SUV segment, shed 19 kg of unsprung mass, enhancing steering precision. Design tweaks include a polycarbonate honeycomb grille and reprofiled carbon elements, trimming an extra 7 kg.

Visually, the DBX S sports a bold identity. A gloss-black grille, stacked quad exhausts, and aerodynamic side sills underscore its sporting intent. Bespoke ‘S’ badging and optional racing liveries in Rosso Corsa Red, Trophy Silver, or Podium Green add flair. Inside, Alcantara upholstery with herringbone stitching dominates, while red seatbelts and embossed ‘S’ logos heighten the cabin’s performance vibe. A 23-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system is available for audiophiles.

Aston Martin CEO Adrian Hallmark emphasised the model’s role in the brand’s evolution: “DBX S reflects our focus on innovation, performance, and luxury. It’s a statement of ambition for both the DBX range and Aston Martin’s future.”

The DBX S is now available to order, with deliveries expected from late 2025. Pricing remains undisclosed, but the SUV’s blend of Valhalla tech, weight-saving materials, and assertive styling positions it as a compelling rival in the ultra-luxury performance segment.
