The ALL THINGS MOTORING Honda racing team kicked off the weekend on a high after a very promising Wednesday test session however qualifying started and ended abruptly with a red flag after two incidents.
In the scramble at the restart the congestion resulted in a further red flag. The net result was disastrous third place.
Race 1was spent chasing down the first placed Piet Potgieter, whose straight line advantage in the VW Golf proved to be the deciding factor so second place was a fantastic result.

The second heat started with a massive congestion at turn 1 and Mike decided discretion was better than valour and avoided a most certain contact. This dropped him right down the order and the remaining laps proved insufficient to close down the gap to leader Potgieter. A second place for the day is gratefully accepted and the team are encouraged by the performance of the Honda. The outright pace is not reflected in the result.
