Portugal has been a long-time fan of motorcycle racing since 1987, when the first event was held at Jarama before taking a break for 13 years. Returning to the Estoril Circuit, which was homologated for international motorcycle racing, races were held with a truckload of fans until 2012. 2020 marked the year that Portugal made its way back to the MotoGP™ calendar with the Algarve International Circuit - the reserve track since 2017. To add an extra spark to its return, Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira also made his debut in the premier class, thus giving fans an added boost to the event. With such exciting factors to this event, coupled with the gorgeous beaches and great weather, it is no surprise that the Portugal MotoGP™ tickets are quick to sell out.
